This Web is new. Luminous of appearance, simple of use, complete of contents, accessible and full of information on Degaña, ready to captivate with its History, gastronomy, the cordiality of its people and the majesty of its steep landscape full of resistances and animal species in danger of extinction of the rich Iberian fauna, like the brown bear.
It is a land declared EARTH RESERVE OF THE BIOSPHERE by UNESCO in 2003 with a great scientific interest in its conservation and the protection of the existing biodiversity.
It was also declared Natural Park (WELL OF THE NARCEA, DEGAÑA AND IBIAS) in 2002. The park occupies an extension of 55.500 hectares, with 21.850 visitors in 2006.
